Sundoro is a stratovolcano in central Java. The first confirmed eruption was in 1818. Sundoro has had 8 historic eruptions with the most recent in 1971. Small to moderate explosive eruptions (VEI=1-2) are most common. Photo by Jack Lockwood, U.S. Geological Survey, October 11, 1982.
