Mount Curry is the stratovolcano that forms the island of Zavodovski. The island is about 3 miles (5 km) in diameter. Tephra makes about 50% of the island. Fresh lava was reported on the volcano in 1819. Very active fumaroles have been reported on numerous occasions. Explosive eruptions that produced basaltic cinders are suspected in 1823, 1830, and 1908.
