Dick Rasp (Co-I) is the Chief Interpreter for the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which entails overseeing all of the efforts to educate the public about the natural and cultural resources of the Park. He has a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Humboldt State University, and has worked for the National Park Service for 26 years at the following parks: Big Bend, Shenandoah, Hot Springs, Everglades, Fort Jefferson, Pinnacles, Redwood, and Hawaii Volcanoes. Dick is the author of Redwood National Park: The Story Behind the Scenery, and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park: The Continuing Story. Though he received no funding from this grant he contributed to the project's success by integrating VW into the Park's interpretive program and by providing updates on Park activity to VW.
