Activity 1.11 Graph of the Earth's Layers (Grades 9-12)

Activity 1.11 is an exercise in graphical interpretation. Answers are given in Activity 1.3. From left to right, the layers are: inner core, outer core, mantle, lithosphere, and crust. The thicknesses are 40, 100, 1,400, 2,000, and 2,900 km for the crust, lithosphere, inner core, outer core, and mantle, respectively. The mantle is the thickest layer. The crust is the thinnest layer.
