This is the view to the south from the summit of Volcan Santa Maria. You can even see the Pacific coastline in the distance. Caliente Vent is the site of the most recent explosions (every 10 minutes or so) as well as a slow-moving lava flow. This view shows the extent that the lahars have traveled. The green arrows point out the edges of lahar deposits, which actually extend beyond the farthest arrow.
