Koryaksky is a stratovolcano on the Kamchatka peninsula. Koryaksky erupted in 1895, 1926, and 1956. The most recent eruption was at the summit an upper northwest flank of the volcano. It was explosive (VEI=3) and produced pyroclastic flows. Photograph by Jack Lockwood, U.S. Geological Survey.
