Kambalny, also known as Sopka Kambalnaia, is a compound strato volcano on the southern end of a short ridge of older destroyed volcanoes. Fumaroles occur in the craters of these ruined volcanoes. On the summit of Kambalny is a lake-filled crater. many small cones and lava flows predating post-glacial time are scattered around the base of this volcano.
