Cascade Volcano Observatory OPEN HOUSE!!

Everyone is cordially invited to attend a free public open house at the USGS Cascades Volcano Observatory in Vancouver Washington, on Saturday May 8, 2010.

  • Where:   USGS Cascades Volcano Observatory,  1300 SE Cardinal Ct, Vancouver, WA  98683    (conveniently located on the east side of Vancouver in the Columbia Tech Park , near the corner of Mill Plain Blvd. and 164th Avenue)
  • Details:     Explore volcano monitoring equipment, rocks, displays, hazards information, and volcano videos.  Thanks to "green screen" technology, have your photo taken in the crater of Mount St. Helens!    Record your recollections of Mount St. Helens' eruptions in our memory book.  Bring your mystery rock and have it identified.   Pick up a free new 30th anniversary Mount St. Helens poster.
